- Michigan State University Certificate of English Language Proficiency (MSU – CELP)
- Michigan Proficiency Certificate
- Cambridge Proficiency Certificate
- Cambridge Advanced English (CAE) with Grade A only
- TOEFL (score 87 or higher on internet based)
- GCE higher level English: Grade C or greater
- International Baccalaureate Diploma
- SAT (450 or above)
- ACT (15 or above)
Students may also qualify to take WP1010 by submitting evidence of fluency based on graduation from an English-speaking secondary school/program.
If none of the above can be provided, then the candidate will have to take the English Placement Test administered by the College.
